Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a fun and safe halloween. We spent the weekend down in grand saline. On saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and it was actually really neat. They have a few rides, ponies to ride, a huge blow-up slide(i mean HUGE), and of course tons of cute photo opportunities. Unfortunately Olivia was too small to ride anything but she loved watching the small roller coaster go around and around. She wouldn't take her eyes off of it for a while and would get so excited when the cars came around. I couldn't even get her to watch the horses because she was watching the roller coaster. This makes me sooo excited, I love roller coasters. I hope she like to ride as much as she liked watching, i can't wait to get her to six flags to ride all the scary rides (yes i know it will be a few years).

She thought she was a big girl driving the fire truck!

She is wondering "what is that!"

Olivia was minnie mouse for halloween. She actually left the ears on all night, i couldn't believe it. She had no idea what was going on but she liked to play with the candy still in the wrapper.

here is minnie with her little giraffe friend (Austin Dugan)...this picture cracks me up, they look so funny!

Olivia has a new friend to tell you about. On monday Nov.2, Katy(who is one of my oldest, closest friends) had Brady Wallace Cranfill. He was 7lbs 5oz and 20 1/4in long. He is so sweet and adorable. I am so excited for her and Greg, they have waited so long for him.
Here is the new little man!

Here are a few random pics of Olivia doing was she does best: being silly!!

Sorry this was a long, kind-of random post. Thanks for checking on us!

Olivia's Birthday Party

Well we had Olivia's first birthday party at our house this weekend. Thankfully the weather was great so the kids were able to play outside and i think they had fun. Olivia didn't know what to think about so many people being in her house at one time but of course she loved all the attention. We are so lucky to have so many people who wanted to celebrate our little pumpkins birthday with us. It was a ladybug theme and i think it turned out really cute.

Here is the cake. I think it turned out so cute! The little one of course is her own personal cake.

The birthday girl is patiently waiting for her cake.

olivia eating her cake. Or should i say picking the dots off of it. I thought she would DESTROY the cake, but instead she wanted to pick at the dots and icing.

Tired Girl! She was done with this cake mess! (and i do mean MESS!!!)

Unfortunately i did not get any still pics of her opening presents because i was helping her open and Eric was videotaping so i will have to get those from someone else. She was so funny though, she wanted to play with the paper. Then we would finally the gift open and she would try to play with it and it would just get taken away and another unopened gift it its place. She would look around so confused like "hey i wanted to play with that". She got so many precious outfits and fun toys to play with. We got all of her new toys out yesterday and she had been playing ever since.
I can't believe my baby girl is one year old. She is such a sweet, funny girl. We love this little girl to peices and she had made this the best year ever.

Happy Birthday Olivia!

My sweet girl turned one yesterday, i can't believe it! This year has went by so fast. The weather was so nasty yesterday that we stayed home and played all day for her birthday. Daddy even came home early and brought her presents. Today we went to the dr. for her check-up and shots. She weighs 19lbs 15.5oz(30th precentile), 29in (50th) I can't believe my chunky monkey is only in the 30th precentile for weight, her pedi says she is finally growing "up" instead of "out". She finally has 2 teeth that started coming in last month. We were wondering if she would ever have teeth :) Bless her heart, we took her paci away this week and she is down to one bottle a day but it will be gone also in the next few days. So far she has done good. We were worried about her sleeping without the paci, it takes her a little longer to go to sleep but it has went better than i thought it would. She is such a sweet, silly little girl. Her birthday party is this weekend, i can't wait to see her eat her cake and tear into her presents. I promise i will post tons of pictures later.
My ten year class reunion was this past weekend. Where did all the time go? I feel like i just graduated from high school. (i wish i looked like i did when i graduated from high school :) We had a good time, it felt like old times again.
Thanks so much for checking on us, i will post pics soon!

Olivia is 8 months old!

I know i say it every month, but i just can't believe my little baby is eight months old!! It has gone by sooo fast. Here is what is going on with Olivis now...
~she weighs 18 lbs
~wears size 6-9 month clothes
~just moved up to size 3 diapers
~she says "mama" and "dada" and every once in a while "bye bye"
~she can get up on her hands and knees and crawl (i have seen her do it) but usually she just scoots herself around on her belly
~she wants to pick up everything in sight and put it in her mouth
~still loves to eat, especially fruit and oatmeal
~still doesn't have any teeth
~LOVES the water, it doesn't matter if it's the bathtub or swimming pool she is happy when she is in the water
~her hair is starting to look a lighter color
~she normally sleeps all through the night (knock on wood, i would hate to jinks that!)
We had to take our first trip to the pediatrician for something other than a well-child visit. Olivia has had a fever, runny nose and has been rubbing her ear. Sure enough she has her first ear infection. We got some antibiotics and hopefully she will be feeling like her old self soon. The Tolar family reunion was this past weekend and this was the first time for many of them to see Olivia. She loved being the center of attention and getting passed around from person to person all weekend. Olivia has new boyfriends to tell everyone about (yes i said boyfriends, there are more than one HA HA) Our friends Lannie and Amie had Austin on May 29th. He is so sweet. He actually weighed the same as Olivia (7lbs and 11oz) and it is so weird to think she was ever that small. Longtime friend Hollie is having another boy in August, and we just found out today that longtime friend Katy, who is having her first baby in November, is also having a boy. YEAH! Congrats to everyone. How will Olivia ever decide between all these boys. HA HA! hope everyone is doing well...keep checking on us.

It's been a while!

I know it has been a while since i have posted so this may be kind of long. As of wednesday, Olivia will be 7 months old. I can't believe she is that old already, it has went so fast. She is getting to be such a big girl. She is such a good eater, although we still haven't seen any signs of teeth. I know they will pop up some day. She still doesn't crawl but manages somehow to scoot herself all over the place. She jabbers all the time and sometimes she gets VERY loud. We laugh at her all the time, she has such a funny little personality. She sleeps great at night but it is often a struggle to get her to nap much during the day. She fights her sleep so much, she is afraid she might miss something. (bless her heart, she gets it honestly) She is napping right now, we'll see how long it lasts:) Last month Eric and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary ( i can't believe we have been married that long!!) Just the two of us went to Cozumel (before swine flu was such a big topic) and Gran (my mom) came here and stayed with Olivia. Yes, i know we are terrible parents for leaving her so soon, but it was a much needed vacation. We never got to go anywhere after I finished school so this was anniversary/graduation trip. We had a great time, it is so pretty there. We didn't do much but relax at the pool or by the beach. And of course we were ready to get back home to our little muchkin. (thanks again Gran for coming to stay with Olivia and Bruiser) Speaking of Bruiser, Olivia LOVES him! She wants to watch him all the time. I have to make him leave the kitchen when i am trying to feed her because she gets distracted by him and won't eat. We think he loves her too. She pulls on his ears and he just sits there and lets her and he loves to lick her. I know that's gross, we try to keep him from doing it but sometimes he sneaks in a few licks.
We had a good Easter and Mothers Day. We got to spend time with family. I can't wait for summer, i am so ready to take Olivia swimming, she loves the bath so much.
Well it looks like nap time is over so i will go for now, hopefully it won't be so long in between blogs next time. Hope you are all doing well! Take care!

Olivia is four months old

There has been alot going on since my last post. Olivia is of course getting bigger every day and developing a funny little personality. She went for her 4 month checkup and she weighed 14lbs 4.6oz and was 24 inches long. She was in the 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height. She is still a chunky monkey but at least she is trying to catch up in length. The pediatrician told me she had eczema. She had a rash that we had been fighting for a while. We thought it was her slobbering so much or heat but turns out it was eczema. He told me ways to treat it and her rash is gone, she just has a few dry spots. She had her first cough about a month ago. She had a low grade temp for about a day and that was the only day that she acted like she didn't feel good, the rest of the time it didn't seem to bother her. We started feeding her rice cereal a couple of weeks ago (i posted pictures) and at first she was not a fan. She was didn't know what to do with it and just wanted her bottle. She is starting to get the hang of now but she still sometimes makes a funny face when you put it in her mouth. The biggest change of all is she is sleeping in her bed in her room. At first i felt like she was so far away (for those of you who have been to our house i know you are laughing, for those who haven't, her room is literally like 5 steps away from ours) but now i am glad that transition is over. I was at work the first night she slept in there so Eric toughed it out all alone. The girl is a little sleeper though. She like to eat, play for a little while and then sleep. And you better not interfere with her nap or she will throw a fit! It's pretty funny. Other than getting mad when she is hungry or sleepy she is a pretty good baby. She smiles and laughs alot and she is definitely a cuddle bug. we have definitely been enjoying her. Everything else around here has been going pretty good. Oh yeah, I had my first and hopefully last KIDNEY STONE. If any of you have had one you know what i mean when i say it is TERRIBLE!!! I felt like i was having back labor again. I had to go see a urologist and just laughed as i looked around the waiting room that was filled with 80 year old men. I had to have stuck out like a sore thumb. I was prescribed pain medicine and prostate medicine (yes, that's right, PROSTATE medicine) he said it would help the stone pass easier. I didn't care what he gave me, just something to make it go away. But all is better now and hopefully that will never happen again. Hope everyone is doing well, thanks for checking on us!

Happy New Year!

I know it has been a while since I last posted so I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year, we definitely did. We spent Christmas with family and friends and it all went by so fast. I had to work on Christmas Eve, which I was not very happy about, but being there with parents who were coming to visit their babies and then had to leave to go home without them on Christmas made me greatly appreciate that I was only there for 12 hours and then I got to come home to my healthy baby. I am sure those parents would have traded places with me in a heartbeat so I decided that I needed to get over it and enjoy the time that I had off. Olivia spent most of Christmas like she did Thanksgiving- sleeping! We all still enjoyed her anyways! She is 12 weeks old now and she is such a butterball. When I took her to the pediatrcian for her 2 month checkup he told me she was growing in pounds faster than she was growing in inches, well no kidding just look at her and you can tell that! HA HA! She likes to sit up in her bumbo chair or her exersaucer and look around. She has rolled over from her tummy to her back a few times but I don't think she knows how she is rolling herself over. She will do it once and then you put her back on her tummy and she gets mad that she is on her tummy but won't roll over again, it's pretty funny. Well I have a lot of pictures to post and I hope you are all doing well. Keep checking in on us ~Jennifer
